Welcome to Winmalee Morning Churches

Winmalee Morning Churches are evangelical Anglican congregations in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney. They are part of Springwood – Winmalee Anglican Churches (SWAC).

THIS YEAR Winmalee Anglican Church will be celebrating its 50th anniversary. Special celebrations will be held in September to commemorate the 50 years (see the 50th Anniversary page for details of all activities and events). During the 50 years the church has grown from 1 to 4 congregations: Winmalee Morning Churches (8am & 9.45am), TOAST (youth church) and Winmalee Night Church.

Winmalee Morning Churches are committed to learning from God’s word (the Bible) and in communicating the gospel by word and deed to our community.

Pastor: Rob Powell

Rob is married to Kathy and they have 5 children. He enjoys outdoor activities like roller blading and rock climbing as well as indoor stuff like reading and puzzles of any sort. Rob with his family moved to the mountains in Jan 2005 after over 6 years ministry in Dapto. He is also studying his MA in Theology at Moore College.
Rob and the Winmalee Morning Churches are currently making plans for developing ministries and resources to continue growth over the next 20 years.

Sundays 8am

This is a weekly service for those who enjoy a more traditional hour with clear Bible teaching. We succesfully mix the Prayer Book and Hymns with modern songs and an informal and caring atmosphere.

Seniors Activities

CAMEO
(Come And Meet EveryOne)
CAMEO meets on the first Monday of each month 10am @ St Georges. The program is aimed at women. It includes fun activites, craft, singing, and a bible talk. Food as usual is always part of our Seniors ministries.

3MMM
(3rd Monday Men Meet)
This group aimed at men meets on the 3rd Monday of each month 9.30am. Activities include: darts, carpet bowls, a bible talk, morning tea and various outings during the year.

Sundays 9.45am

This is full-on family church, lively music, even more lively childrens programs for toddlers, Sunday Schoolers and teenagers. We have a focus on applying God's word to today.

Childrens Activities

Sunday School
Sunday School meets every week during school terms with the 9.45am service. The Children spend the first 15-20 mins in church and then head out for their activities and teaching.
We currently run groups for: Pre-school/Kindregaten, Infants, Primary and Junior High. A Creche for toddlers also runs for the whole service.
Winmalee Boys Club
Winmalee Boys Club consists of two groups. The yrs 3-6 group meets on Monday nights 6pm @ St Georges during school term. The junior high group meets on Thursday nights @ 6pm also during school term. The boys play games, go on outings and learn from the Bible in a fun safe environment.
